Auguste Gusteau is a major posthumously character in the film Ratatouille. He is a chef, and the owner of Gusteau's. After losing one of the stars to a scathing review by Anton Ego. Gusteau died of a broken heart. However despite his death, an imaginary version of him endured in Remy's mind.
He is voiced by Brad Garrett.

- Gusteau was originally going to be still alive in the original screenplay of the film but Brad Bird concluded there were too many stories to tell, and decided that Gusteau would be dead. However, he does still speak to Remy as his conscience.
